Now that August has hit and it’s hotter than ever, we’re being extra careful to stay hydrated in the office, at the gym, and during outdoor adventures. Luckily, we’ve got a few fruit infuser water bottles on hand that make hydrating a lot more exciting (not to mention, even more healthy). We’re sharing a few of our favorite fruit infusion recipes today for some #InfusionInspiration. Which ones will you be trying?
Combine blueberries, blackberries, and peaches for some sweet satisfaction and Vitamin C— but wait, there’s a twist. This recipe includes coconut water for an extra zing of electrolytes. Use a 3:1 ratio of regular water to coconut water.
Bonus? Coconut water is naturally sweet, and it helps your body recover, thanks to more potassium than four bananas. Just make sure you’re reading your nutrition labels and choosing plain coconut water without any concentrate, added sugar, or juices.
Grapefruit Rosemary Detox
Coming off an especially fun weekend? Try this rejuvenating combo. Add half of a grapefruit and several sprigs of rosemary (go on, don’t be shy) to your reusable fruit infuser water bottle, and drink throughout the day.
As a citrus fruit, grapefruit boosts your immune system; plus, it’s made up of 91% water, making it the second-most hydrating fruit (behind watermelon). Rosemary, meanwhile, is a rich source of antioxidants and anti-inflammatories, which improves blood circulation.
Watermelon Mint Fresca
Nothing says summer like fresh, juicy watermelon — so we take any opportunity we can to enjoy it during the season. Watermelon and mint-infused water is refreshing, sweet, and the perfect way to amp up your hydration on a hot day. Suffering from seasonal allergies? Mint leaves are a natural substitution for antihistamines, meaning when you inhale or ingest them, you notice fewer of those annoying allergy symptoms.
Strawberry, Basil, and Cucumber Spa Water
This drink calls for kicking back, maxing, relaxing all cool. Strawberry wedges, cucumber slices, and fresh basil come together for a zen masterpiece. Strawberries boost your energy and have some fiber to aid digestion, while cucumbers are just plain refreshing. And we know, basil sounds weird, but trust us, it’s crucial for this serene drink (it doesn’t hurt that basil also helps curb your appetite and reduce bloating). If you want to save a few extra cucumber slices to place on your eyes while you sip this drink, we won’t tell anyone.
Once you’ve made it through the day fully hydrated and quenched thanks to your BPA-free fruit infuser water bottle, reward yourself with some adult fruit infusion. We’ve got the recipe you need right here.
